Sweet Potato Soufflé
That sounds so fancy huh soufflé makes it seem like you’re doing an elaborate dish, however this is so simple and so easy but if somebody asks you for Christmas or Thanksgiving to bring a side dish you can whip this up in minutes.
The eggs are super important to make sure that you whipped him because that’s the part that makes us a soufflé. If you were allergic to eggs you can use what’s called Just eggs and a jar for substitute.
Sweet Potato Soufflé
3 cups mashed sweet potatoes 🍠 ( I peeled, cut and boiled easier to mash)
1 cup brown sugar (You can add 1/4 cup of maple syrup and 3/4 sugar)
1 tsp good vanilla
2 eggs 🥚 beaten
1/4 cup melted butter
Topping
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 cup chopped ( roasted if you want) Pecans
1/2 cup cold butter
• Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
• Combine sweet potatoes, sugar, salt, vanilla, eggs and butter in a mixing bowl in the order listed. Mix thoroughly.
• Pour mixture into buttered/ sprayed baking dish.
• Combine brown sugar, flour, nuts ( your choice) and butter in mixing bowl using your fingers combines easier( the heat in your fingers melts the butter so work fast) Sprinkle the surface of the sweet potato mixture evenly with the crust mixture.
• Bake for 30 minutes.
