So you have leftover cabbage right.  For some reason cabbage isn't the most eaten on St Paddys day.  I will show you how to  make a quick dinner after work and use your leftovers.
My mom used to call it cabbage stoop (stew and soup)  I am not really into soup, so I leave out a lot of the liquid and only add enough to make it move.  I am sure there are more things she put in hers and she always added all kinds of vegetables. It is funny I never ate it when I lived at home.  I am glad that my adulthood I started liking it.

Such an easy and quick meal to make and really with everything you already have in your fridge.

1lb of hamburger or whatever ground meat you like.  We are beef people
Butter
5 cloves chopped garlic
1 white/yellow onion chopped
5 stalks of celery
Head or what is left of the head of cabbage sliced
Canned Tomatoes or tomato puree

Brown the hamburger with 2 tablespoons of butter along with the onion and garlic. Add the celery and sauté for 3 minutes, then add the sliced cabbage and sauté. Add the tomatoes, stir and simmer for 5-10 minutes then serve hot. I sprinkle rice vinegar over my dish of Cabbage stew.
