December 19 Ready for some down time? Well here it is, make yourself a cup of chamomile or peppermint (because after all it is Christmas) tea and sit down with a little dessert.  You will love these. Especially in the early morning, biting into one of these cheesy sausage herb infused biscuits.  They are so small that you can eat a couple of them and not feel guilty.  Christmas is not time for guilt, only fun with food. The great thing about these little delicious bites is that you can eat them anytime, so make a batch whenever put them in a ziplock bag and either freeze for when you have family coming over and staying the night unexpected. You will go to your freezer pull these out, stick in a bounty paper towel as they defrost (as the paper towel keeps the moisture out of your biscuit) put them in the microwave for about 10 seconds and then they are wonderful again.

Sausage Cheesy Herb Biscuits

1/2 pound Italian,  regular or spicy sausage ( I use Jimmy Deans)
Any Herbs of your choice, remember before I told you about my secret about buying in a tube, you can also add fresh herbs to the store bought tube.  I like fresh dill and fresh rosemary.
1 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
2 cups Bisquick
1/2 cup eggnog
1/2 cup milk (or use a cup of milk and omit the eggnog)
2 eggs
1-2 cups of grated cheese, larger grate

Heat oven to 400 degrees
Cook sausage in skillet, when its almost all brown add all the herbs and Old Bay seasoning, stir until all herbs have been mixed in so you don't get a bite with all herbs.  Remove from heat, stir in 1/2 of the cheese.
Mix Bisquck, milk and eggs with a fork, dough should be sticky.  Add the rest of the cheese and sausage mixture. Mix well
Use a medium scoop so they are round, place on a lined cookie sheet. You can place pretty close and should be able to get 4-5 biscuits across and 4-5 down.  The entire batch should fit on a large cookie sheet.
Bake for 7-8 minutes depends on your oven , you just want a light brown bottom and top.
